Diana Fever

 

To wiadomo nie od dziś, że jestem fanką serialu The Crown (Netflix) i od dawna czekałam na czwarty sezon, w którym pojawia się Diana, królowa ludzkich serc. A ponieważ została we mnie nutka szaleństwa, postanowiłam się pobawić w przebieranki. Suknia ze zdjęcia to autentyk (na moje oko z lat 70 lub 80-tych), który nawiązuje do barwnej garderoby Diany z lat 80!

Życie Diany miało być jak z bajki. Stała się prawdziwą księżniczką. Była młoda i piękna. Zdobyła księcia z bajki. Życie stało przed nią otworem....

Ona miała 19 lat, on 32... Czy to mogło się udać? Wiadomo, duża różnica wieku to nie przeszkoda, ale tych dwoje różniło wszystko: stopień dojrzałości, zainteresowania, doświadczenie życiowe, pragnienia i własne demony, z którymi musieli mierzyć się całe swoje życie.

W serialu relacja Diany i Karola została pokazana dość jednostronnie. Wina leży po stronie Karola uwikłanego w wieloletni romans. Prawda była jednak bardziej skomplikowana (nie umniejszając wadze jego win!). Przepaści, które ich dzieliły pogłębiały się z kolejnymi latami ich małżeństwa. Nie pomagał też otoczenie i dwór, który w serialu pokazany został jako zimny, bez serca, stawiający wszystko na koronę. Czy tak rzeczywiście było? Z wielu doniesień, także wypowiedzi Diany, Królowa była świetną słuchaczką i dobrze jej życzyła. 

Jestem pewna, że każdy kto obejrzał ostatni sezon zachodzi w głowę, czy rodzina królewska naprawdę jest taka chłodna i zachowawcza? Czy obecnie wiele się zmieniło? Może po wielu cierpieniach swoich członków rodziny, doszli do wniosku, że może jednak warto pozwolić im żyć po swojemu? W końcu książę Harry poślubił amerykańską aktorkę, w dodatku rozwódkę... Młodsze pokolenie rodziny Windsorów też zdaje się żyć troszkę nowocześniej, podejmując decyzje chociażby o małżeństwie, samodzielnie...

Ech... przecież mieli wszystko, a byli tacy nieszczęśliwi... Księżniczka Małgorzata, Karol, Diana...

Wszystkie kochamy bajki o miłości, szczególnie te z happy endem... Tutaj go brak, ale i tak dajemy się porwać tej historii i pofantazjować....

To co dziewczyny, więc czekamy na 5 sezon....😜?  

 

Everyone knows I'm all in for The Crown (Netflix) and I've been waiting for the fourth season, which features Diana, the Queen of People's Hearts, since forever! And since I'm a bit nuts, I decided to have a little dressing-up. The dress I'm wearing is authentic (to my book from the 1970s or '80s), and looks as if it belonged to Diana's vibrant wardrobe!

Diana's life was supposed to be a fairytale. She became a real princess. She was young and beautiful. She got Prince Charming. The world was wide open to her... 

She was 19, him 30... Was it doable? A big age difference is not the end of the world, but those two differed in any possible way: maturity, interests, life experience, pursuits and demons, which they had been facing throughout their whole lives.

The series depicts Diana and Charles's relationship rather one-sidedly. Charles is to blame because of his long-term affair with Camilla. The truth was more complicated than that, though (not to depreciate his faults!). The gulf between them was being deepened year after year. The court and the surrounding, which the series shows as cold, heartless and staking everything on one card, weren't aiding either. Is that the truth? Different sources, even Diana's accounts, report that the Queen had been a great listener and had wished her well.

 I am sure that anyone who's watched the latest season scratches their head whether the Royal family is really that distant and conservative? Has anything changed? Perhaps, having seen their relatives suffering, they've come to a conclusion that it might be reasonable to let them live the way they want? Well, they did let Prince Harry marry an American actress, who to make things worse, is a divorcee... The younger generation of Windsors seem to have more normal lives and make their won decisions, well at least whom to marry...

 (Sigh)... they had everything, and even though, they were so miserable... Princess Margaret, Charles, Diana...

We all love fairytales about love, especially those with a happy ending... There's no one here but we do let ourselves delve into the story and fantasize...

So ladies, we're waiting for season 5...😜?
